Usually, the theatrics from aldermen force city staff to stay at work odd hours. In this case, two of them offer theatrics outside the chamber to tout their proposal for evening and weekend hours at city customer-service desks:
Demong: “That’s the problem with today’s society.” Keating: “Nobody plans like they used to!”
City administrators are going to study the idea, which jives with the customer-service leanings this council has.
